What a Fabulous Feeling!

Oh so many things! I'm feeling better! MUCH better! And SO excited! Yes, I'd been stressing about Christmas coming up, and not being able to get the children much this year and then not knowing what to get them, as three of them are at a difficult age to buy for! But that has changed! Last weekend I started with buying them all one outfit, then tonight, Bobby had to run out to get more Ibuprofen (yes, 3 of us are still running fevers!), but then he calls me. Just a few months ago we were talking about Kaylee, and how she was needing a grown up bike now. She has been riding a girls bike the past 2 years that well, with her height and weight she has been pretty much putting her tires out on a weekly basis. So we were talking about getting her one kind of like mine, a mountain bike type (but not one of the state of the art, expensive ones!) We were going to wait till her birthday in January because we just couldn't see getting everyone something that big this year. Anyway, he calls from the store and says that they have a bike for Kaylee, a beautiful burgundy one very similar to mine for $50. Did I want him to go ahead and get it? Hell yeah! Then when he came home we got to talking. All 4 of the kids have outgrown their bikes, so why not get them all one for Christmas? Only problem is that Zack is needing one the most, but we are not getting him one for Christmas because he got his main Christmas gift over the summer (an electric guitar). So...we will wait till his birthday in April to get his, but I think he'll be ok with not getting one for Christmas. He's such a cool kid! Now Christmas has suddenly turned something that we are looking forward to! Side note*** I have been noticing some small changes lately, some muscles that are starting to peek out, and I'm actually excited about taking pictures because it's been a while! I think we are going to take them Friday night instead of Sunday and I can't wait!***

Now on to Fitness and Health!
Today did start out with very poor planning, as I majorly overslept for work, was running late, didn't pack my lunch last night like I usually do, etc, etc. Did not have time to make my lunch, nor make breakfast, so I leave for work without having breakfast! This is the first time I've missed breakfast in 5 months! Instead, I grabbed a plastic bag, threw in an entire container of cottage cheese, 2 apples, 2 CarbControl yogurts, 1 slice of turkey lunchmeat, 1 slice cheese and 2 slices of multi-grain bread. So basically, I winged it. Had cottage cheese and yogurt for breakfast and played around with the rest of the foods till lunchtime. During lunch I plugged into Fitday what I'd already had and built the rest of my day around it. It wasn't until lunchtime that I realized that I didn't pack enough food! I was hungry, but stayed on track and Bobby had a nice dinner ready and waiting when I got home! This is day 5 of clean eating and no coffee creamer or protein bars! I'm on a roll baby!
Ok...I LOVE the weight lifting! Always have, but when we started back in August, I really didn't care for lower body all that much. But now? LBWO's are my favorite! And...the last two workouts, I have had absolutely no pain in either knee! And this time of year is usually the worst!
Tonight I had a really great LBWO. I changed my routine up a little, and increased weights on several sets:
Quads: Barbell Squats
12-20lbs
10-30lbs
8-40lbs
6-50lbs
12-40lbs
12 reps of single leg squats w/20lb dumbell
Hamstrings: Lunges (first time in quite a while doing rep sets on lunges!) Yowza!
12-5lbs (each hand)
10- 10lbs
8-15lbs
6-20lbs
12-15lbs
12 reps of Straight Leg Deadlifts w/Barbell @ 60lbs
Calves: Barbell Standing Calf Raises
12-30lbs
10-40lbs
8-50lbs
6-60lbs
12-50lbs
12 reps of Single Calf Raises using 20lb dumbell
Abs: Sit Ups sets of: 12, 10, 8, 6 and 12 (no break between the last two reps!)
12 reps of Twisted Ab Crunches per side
I FEEL GREAT!
