Mini Team Go Challenge-Day 1

If you read Lori's blog, you'll see that we decided to join together for a little encouragement team. Challenge 2 has been more difficult and the newness and spark has worn off, so we thought this may help to be accountable to each other, and to hear the other's "voice" in our head when we know we aren't putting into our workouts and eating the way we know we can! So today is day 1, and since we always have to do our workouts late in the evening, I will update that portion later tonight..but following is today's menu. Note: Today is what I like to call "shock" day. Normally I keep my caloric intake between 1150-1250, but about once a week, I will skyrocket my calories (switching it from around 20-30-50 to around 25-30-40) to put my body in a "shock" so to speak, then the following day drop it back down to 1100-1200. So far, this has been working! So here is today's high calorie menu:
Calories: 1955
Fat: 54 @ 25%
Carbs: 169 @ 32%
Protein: 202 @ 42%
M1 - 2 servings egg beaters, protein shake (w/water) and 1 small cup of coffee w/sugar free creamer
M2 - 1 small apple, 1 serving low-fat cottage cheese mixed w/1 container of carb control yogurt
M3 - Fat free bologna sandwhich on whole wheat w/2% kraft single cheese, 1 serving low fat cottage cheese mixed with one container of carb control yogurt, and 1 zone perfect protein bar
M4 - 1 small banana, 1 serving peanuts, 1 zone perfect protein bar and 1 serving of tuna
M5 - Protein shake (made w/water)
M6 - 1 baked fish fillet, 1 serving corn, 1 serving green beans and 4 more servings of egg beaters

Cardio workout to come....I'm ready!
Alright, cardio update! OMG! I did the stationary bike tonight, which the readout doesn't work (may need a battery). I have no idea what speeds I was doing, but I started out moderate, then every two minutes bumped my speed up to about an 8 level for one minute, then back down to moderate speed. I kept doing this for 15 minutes. Then I bumped it up till I was going so fast I couldn't feel my legs! Kept it there for one minute, then back down to level 8, then up again...down....one last time.....Yeah!!!!! I finally hit a 10 on cardio! Whoohooo! Aftermath...could not walk back up the stairs! I was practically on all fours coming back upstairs, and couldn't catch my breath for almost 5 minutes! But yeah! I did it! By golly, with Lori there (not really of course!) yelling at me, "now come on, you can do better than that!" I had the best cardio workout ever! Looking forward to day 2!
