Power UP!
Well, we got power back yesterday and we got everything cleaned up. Our front yard looks pretty pathetic right now. The way the tree landed destroyed our hostas and hydrangeas and we have more patches of mud where grass should be. We will have to put seed down this year. We still have to get the stump out and plant another tree. I was thinking of getting a fast growing flowering tree. I miss the shade already! Bobby went over to clean up at my Dad's house, then got caught up in the Distaster Relief Team that was next door to his house. A 100ft tree was on their house. Man...glad ours was just a 30ft tree!Good news all the way around on this. It looks like we will be able to file an insurance claim for about $500 (I'm thinking remodeling $$?), and there wasn't any roof damage. How about that?
I have been working on the inside of the house, and we got the rest of the flooring for the kitchen. Bobby is still working on the trim in the living room. I'm waiting on a few more things to come in, then I can post pics of our remodeled living room, then we're off to the kitchen!
We're both exhausted from all of the clean up....but it's kind of given me even more energy to get things done!
