Bad, Bad Storm!
We got hit by a pretty bad storm last night. It took down our 30ft Bradford Pear tree in front of the house. The tree is still all over the yard and on top of our house. We don't know yet if there is any roof damage. Bobby will be working on it tomorrow. We are still without power and phone. They are telling us 3-5 days for power to be restored. And it's HOT! 100 degrees today. I had today off to take Kaylee to the doctor. Then I've just been sweating it out. Gave me a chance to give the cats another flea bath though. It helped cool them off. If you're wondering how I'm on the computer when we don't have power....I have a very smart hubby that has hooked the computer up to the car battery cable w/an inverter. Pretty cool, uh?Anyway...I'll post pics of the tree on our house and all as soon as everything is back up. Insurance claim on this one because it looks like lightning hit it. Just when we decide to sell the house, a storm takes out the best tree in the yard. Go figure!
There's supposed to be another storm tonight. I just hope it isn't as bad.
Since we can't cook or anything, we've been having to eat out, so there goes the good eating. Only temporary though!
