I Got A Promotion!!!!!

Well, they say when one door closes, another one opens. That's exactly what happened. Not long after I found out that I didn't get that one position, I saw a posting for another one that was SO up my alley! I've had two different avenues that I've been thinking about over the last several years. One was with our IS department, which was like the position that I didn't get. The other avenue has been something that I've been wanting to do for the past 5 years. It's more on the marketing side. I have been wanting to work my way up to be a product specialist, then eventually a product manager. This promotion is more in the marketing arena, and will give me the experience I need to further my interests in marketing. The position itself will be very challenging, and I'm very excited about that! It is a management position, but I will not have people reporting to me, which may be a good thing for now. It's a small group, which I also love! I don't have a start date yet, as my current manager and future manager are working out the details on that. So that's my big news..and yes, I want to celebrate! I am extremely thankful to have an opportunity like this come my way! I will be in a different building, which may end up being a shorter commute for me, but we will have to see. I believe traffic off of that highway is worse, so time-wise I may still be looking at an hour commute each way- just less mileage. Working in a different building will be strange, as I've worked in my current building for more than 7 years total. It will be like moving a house! lol

As for BFL, I have been eating extremely clean this week, and have had some of the best workouts! I think getting together with some of the blends has given me that spark that I needed! It's great! Sorry about the purple color on my last post. It's a lot lighter on our home computer. Then when I looked at my blog during lunch on my work computer, it was much darker, and is apparantly darker to some of you as well! I'll try to stick to the lighter colors!
