It's Been A Helluva Monday!
Well today has been an interesting day, to say the least. At 10a.m. I receive a phone call from the junior high school nurse. It seems that my son Zack started throwing up in the middle of class. Ok, no problem, call the ex-inlaws to go pick him up and take him to his Dad’s, who is also home sick. At 10:30a.m., Bobby calls. He’s on his way to the emergency room. Seems the elementary school nurse called him because Tyler was having more respiratory complications. Now it’s late afternoon, and I’m still at work, but can’t seem to focus. Just got a report back on both children, and they are both doing fine, although we need to watch both of them. Zack may be coming down with the flu too, but so far he’s been fine the rest of the day. Turns out, Tyler had the flu, then an upper respiratory infection, now he has a really bad sinus infection, and now pneumonia in one lung. Whew! I tend to get paranoid and conjure up all kinds of things in situations like this. The longer I don’t hear back, the worse my imagination gets. Meningitis was my latest thought. I do this if Bobby is running late too, and his cell phone is off….the later it gets, the worse the accident he’s been in! I know, I’m terrible, and my imagination runs wild sometimes!
All is well with the family at the moment.
On the fitness note: I have hit a plateau and I’m not very happy about it, but was kind of expecting it. I always seem to get stuck at the same place, so hitting a wall going 50mph at 131lbs does not surprise me one bit. Shoot, by now I should be remembering to wear my crash helmet! Then I was kind of bummed after taking my end of 4 wk pics. I don’t see any change from the end of C1. So, I have slowed down quite a bit. Last week went really well, I made all workouts (although had to reschedule one) and I had super clean eating all week, even with no coffee creamer and protein bars! Because of this wall I’ve hit, I decided to try upping my calories all week, then next week drop it back down. So this week I will be consuming between 1700-1800 calories. Big jump! LBWO tonight. My favorite!
