Why, Why, Why?

Why is it that everything seems to go out at once in a home? And right before you try to put your house on the market? The garbage disposal was the first to go. Ok, that's not so bad. We can get a new one for under $100. We still have a broken window from last summer that we haven't gotten fixed. Then a few weeks ago, our air conditioner went out. Alright, no problem, we'll just wait till spring, right before we put the house on the market. Oh, but wait..the heater doesn't work either. Damnit! Either temporarily fix it for $800, knowing that we are going to have to have it fixed again, and again and again...or replace the unit for $3700. We've already sunk over $1500 in repairs on this thing over the past few years. Come to find out, the unit is 16 years old....which is older than the house! Oh, I'm pissed over that one! We still have to get back to remodeling the basement bathroom....you know, where we found that they had cut the corners of the drywall about 4 inches too short, and just put up molding to cover it, rather than fixing the drywall! Argghhhh! I tell you, the more "little" things we find in this house as we're trying to get it ready (along with the BIG things), the more I'm determined to get the heck out of it! But as all of this piles on, it's looking more and more unlikely that we will be able to move. I'm set on doing anything we can to make it happen though, because I really do want us, and especially the kids out of the area we are in now.

BFL is going good, but man does a pizza and some beer sound great right about now!
Sorry to rant...but on the other hand, I feel just a teeny tiny bit better!
