An Ode to Julie:
It truly amazes me at how much we can come to love and care for people that we have never met, maybe never even corresponded with in our lives! But Julie touched our hearts in such a way that she will never be forgotten. For her strength, honesty, determination, positiveness and sincere heart, she really is like an angel that had a purpose here to serve, and served it well! She taught us to love one another, even those who we have never had the opportunity to know. She taught us to be strong, and never give up without a fight. She taught us how to keep a positve outlook, even when things look the bleakest. She taught us to join together and stand tall for the important things in life, which IS life! Julie has truly touched each of us in so many ways, enlightened our lives just by hearing her amazing story, and reading her own words that were always filled with such innocence and love. I can't imagine what Matt or her family are going through at this time. I do know that we should all celebrate for the life that Julie lived, for Julie lived such a full life as most of us will never live! I am saddened by her passing yes.....,but I look at death as a graduation so to speak, for she has been promoted to a higher place that will envelope her in light and love, and no pain. She will be looking down and smiling because she knows she has touched so many hearts and educated so many people on such a grand scale! So farewell Julie, but not goodbye, for you will always be in our hearts.
