The Interview
Went really, really well! I've got the warm fuzzies! lol. I had an interview in the fall for a similar position of which I didn't get that warm, fuzzy feeling. Turns out that I was one of the top two candidates for that one. But this one, well I felt this interview went really well. It lasted 45 minutes, and anything over 30 is usually good. And she said she's looking for someone with both corporate and branch experience, which I have. And she explained the management incentive program to me, and HOLY MOLY! Every March they get a lump check of 20% of their salary! WOWZA! That would be sweet! I think we'll need it too if you've seen Bobby's blog lately and the kind of things he's been dreaming of! lol This position does require travel, which I love to travel....but don't like being away from my family so the travel is kind of two-fold for me. It's in another building about 15 minutes from my office now. Drive time is still an hour for me each way, the highway it's off of is one of the worst during rush hour, but the area is ten times better. The position itself is everything I've been wanting to do for more than three years, so I'm really excited at the prospect of being a candidate for this! On my way out, my old supervisor (who is now in the group that I am applying for), pulled me aside and asked how it went. He told me he thought I had a really good chance. I still think my only true contender for this position is my buddy. She has a phone interview tomorrow (can't do a live intervew because she's in Dallas). She told me that she hopes to let us know by next Friday. So I've done my part, I've done my best, it's out of my hands. Whatever happens, I'm really pleased with my interview!
