BFL Foods Overhaul
Well, I've declared the ultimate baked potato and corn my two number two favorite BFL foods. Makes sense, seeing as how much I love my carbs! I love my baked potato topped with ff butter, ff sour cream and bacos. Yumm!!!! And the corn is, well, just....corn. We buy the frozen variety because of less sodium and preservatives...but my oh my....frozen corn is SO tasty! And Fresh! We also found a Tyson frozen pork roast w/gravy that is to die for, and even with the gravy it fits nicely into my Fitday regimen. Our pork roast is usually sided with carrots and baked potato for the full pork roast effect. We are pretty much still stuck on the basic BFL foods, with not much variety. Lack of imagination or just pure laziness would be the most caustic reasons for this. I have tried 2 recipes from the EFL book, which we really enjoyed, but I will not venture into the EFL book very much until I hit maitenance mode. My body thinks I'm already in maitenance, but I'm not convinced yet, so I'm still plowing along on the original plan!
Now, for the BFL foods that I'm just sick to death of: Tuna and baked fish! Obviously one of the best sources of protein, but I believe over consumption can easily misguide even the best of BFLers!
BFL foods I love, but absolutely cannot have: Peanut butter! My spoon seems to know no dimensions when it comes to peanut butter, so instead I get to watch Bobby enjoy, while I drool. Protein bars are also a caution, and could easily put me into a tailspin of over-indulging in what should be a limited delicacy. And let's not forget oatmeal. One serving of it can throw my carb balance off for the rest of the day....and by that time, may as well have a Girl Scout cookie (or box!)
Why this subject? Well....Winding up the final week of this challenge has sparked yet one last fire within me, yet all I can still think about, is food, food, food!
