My Doctor Visit......

So the first thing the doc says after I describe some of my symptoms is, "you have a migraine."
Ya don't say? Shoot, I could have saved myself $30 bucks and called her just to tell her that I had a migraine! lol

Ok..but so there's more to this. As I get into the other symptoms I had after an episode Monday night. Let's just say I was doing cardio (not really), then all of the sudden this migraine comes on and it feels like someone is jabbing at a spot just behind my left eye with a fork or knife or something, my left eye is blurry and my left side of my face is numb, and I felt really sick to my stomach. This lasts for about a half an hour, then all disappear except for the migraine. Ever since then I've felt different. I can't peg exactly how, just different. After I go into this much detail, she starts asking a load of questions relating to my family and history of strokes. But at the end of the visit, she just addressess the migraine. She gave me a shot (don't remember what it's called) that was supposed to take care of it right then and there. Well...it did most of it, but not all. Definitely much better than it was. And she gave me some meds to take when I feel the onset of a migraine coming. She didn't say anything else, except that she wants to see me back in a month.

So, I get to work and start looking up symptoms of a stroke, and I had just about every symptom on the list. Now, I'm really freaking out. I can't believe she didn't attempt to have any tests done.

I guess it is possible that I've had a mini-stroke. I am going to set up an appointment with a neurologist just to make sure there isn't something more serious going on than a migraine.

The migraine comes back rapidly whenever I work out. I'm still working out, for now.
