Evil Mom
After Kaylee (the 11yr old) took her shower tonight, she tells me she used my shampoo...to which I have her my OMG look! Here's the conversation:Kaylee: "Why? What's wrong with that?"
Me: "Because it's only for red hair!"
(Big blue eyes popped out at that!)
Kaylee: (almost shrieking) "You mean my hair is going to turn red?!"
Kaylee loves her blonde hair, and gets mad at me every time I tell her that it will get darker and end up dark blonde/light brown like mine, so this is NOT going over very well!
She then runs to the bathroom to look in the mirror, or the shampoo bottle, I'm not sure which. On her way back down the hallway, Tyler pipes in, "Oh my GOD, I can see red streaks in your hair!" Which sends her running back to the bathroom to have another look-see. When she comes back out...
Kaylee: (pouty-like) "Well if my hair turns red, I'll just bleach it back to blonde!"
Me: "Serves you right for not reading the bottle."
Kaylee: "I did, and it said Tresemee'."
Me: "Yeah, and right underneath it says for brunette to red color treated hair."
Now Zack catches on and says, "man Kaylee...I'll bet you'll wake up in the morning looking just like Mom!" The boys are loving this even more than I am!
She went to bed with her hair wet, so she couldn't tell anything. I'd bet anything she will be running to the bathroom first thing in the morning to check the mirror again! Dang it's so much fun when they get to that age where you can play pranks on them! Paybacks for all the times I've tried to go to the bathroom soon to be followed by a knock or yelling "MOM!" through the bathroom door!
